Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Telecoms and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.22% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 5.00% or 0.275 points to trade at 5.780 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.82% or 0.52 points to end at 29.07 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 1.52% or 0.058 points to 3.874 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 5.02% or 0.570 points to trade at 10.780 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 2.78% or 0.18 points to end at 6.46 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.83% or 0.63 points to 33.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 75 to 62 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.00% or 0.275 to 5.780.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $51.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.85 to trade at $1229.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.0751, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8674.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.05.
