Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.81% or 0.3400 points to trade at 7.4150 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 1.19% or 0.17 points to end at 14.47 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.09% or 0.34 points to 31.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 3.02% or 0.23 points to trade at 7.54 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 1.20% or 0.28 points to end at 23.06 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.09% or 0.38 points to 34.38.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 77 to 62 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.07% or 0.52 to $48.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.04% or 0.48 to hit $46.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 10.27 to trade at $1227.57 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1453, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.8760.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 95.04.
