Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.17% or 0.2250 points to trade at 7.3250 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 2.19% or 0.086 points to end at 4.010 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 2.11% or 0.72 points to 34.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which fell 0.98% or 0.30 points to trade at 30.26 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.85% or 0.100 points to end at 11.630 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 0.82% or 0.14 points to 16.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 54 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.54% or 0.29 to $53.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.83% or 0.42 to hit $51.09 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.19 to trade at $1259.79 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1232, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8634.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 96.89.
