Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.64% or 0.1050 points to trade at 6.5250 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.59% or 0.64 points to end at 40.78 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.50% or 0.63 points to 42.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 4.82% or 0.194 points to trade at 3.830 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.39% or 0.52 points to end at 37.00 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was down 1.30% or 0.25 points to 18.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 86 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.64% or 0.1050 to 6.5250. Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.59% or 0.64 to 40.78. Shares in Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.50% or 0.63 to 42.69.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.22% or 1.15 to $50.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.10% or 1.07 to hit $49.78 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.41% or 5.15 to trade at $1262.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.0881, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 98.77.
