Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.05% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 0.80% or 0.040 points to trade at 5.060 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.71% or 0.30 points to end at 42.50 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.70% or 0.070 points to 10.140 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which fell 0.70% or 0.30 points to trade at 42.86 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.58% or 0.20 points to end at 34.44 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 0.56% or 0.060 points to 10.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 66 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 0.70% or 0.070 to 10.140.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.31% or 0.73 to $56.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.43% or 0.76 to hit $53.78 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.37% or 4.15 to trade at $1137.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.03% to 1.0457, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8532.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 103.02.
