Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 4.31% or 1.02 points to trade at 24.66 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) added 4.13% or 0.23 points to end at 5.67 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 3.32% or 0.114 points to 3.545 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO), which fell 0.44% or 0.0800 points to trade at 17.9500 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.34% or 0.11 points to end at 32.26 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.10% or 0.04 points to 38.91.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 44 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 2.23% or 1.28 to $58.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 2.49% or 1.21 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.33% or 4.30 to trade at $1285.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1445, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.9004.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.477.
