Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.17%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 6.71% or 0.3620 points to trade at 5.7580 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 3.10% or 0.56 points to end at 18.64 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.96% or 1.30 points to 45.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 1.80% or 0.144 points to trade at 7.838 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 69.62 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.16% or 0.08 points to 50.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 111 to 42 and 10 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.98% or 0.76 to $76.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.84% or 0.56 to hit $66.48 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 4.10 to trade at $1296.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.1671, while EUR/GBP fell 0.61% to 0.8740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.09.
