Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO), which rose 3.06% or 0.82 points to trade at 27.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.59% or 1.04 points to end at 41.22 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 2.19% or 0.66 points to 30.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 1.27% or 0.30 points to trade at 23.38 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 1.06% or 0.070 points to end at 6.516 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.69% or 0.29 points to 41.56.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 40 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.05% or 0.81 to $77.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.49% or 0.36 to hit $73.44 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.00 to trade at $1260.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 93.84.
