Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.10% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 4.43% or 0.680 points to trade at 16.040 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 2.27% or 0.72 points to end at 32.46 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 2.11% or 0.12 points to 5.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which fell 1.17% or 0.046 points to trade at 3.874 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 0.38% or 0.035 points to end at 9.160 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was down 0.11% or 0.05 points to 44.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 52 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) rose to all time highs; rising 2.27% or 0.72 to 32.46.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.38% or 0.29 to $76.21 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.81% or 0.56 to hit $68.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1214.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1714, while EUR/GBP rose 0.33% to 0.9092.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 94.49.
