Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.79% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 2.38% or 1.30 points to trade at 56.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 2.09% or 0.19 points to end at 9.38 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 1.87% or 0.38 points to 20.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 3.21% or 0.31 points to trade at 9.29 at the close. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 1.69% or 1.05 points to end at 61.05 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was down 1.37% or 0.14 points to 10.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 74 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.09% or 0.19 to 9.38. Shares in Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.87% or 0.38 to 20.66.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.38% or 1.57 to $64.52 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.41% or 1.52 to hit $61.63 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.04% or 33.11 to trade at $3,221.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 100.69.
