Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 3.39% or 0.21 points to trade at 6.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.27% or 0.20 points to end at 9.01 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was up 2.05% or 0.21 points to 10.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which fell 2.66% or 0.16 points to trade at 5.92 at the close. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.12% or 0.52 points to end at 46.08 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was down 0.49% or 0.05 points to 9.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 79 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.24% or 0.78 to $63.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.30% or 0.78 to hit $60.69 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 45.01 to trade at $3,351.01 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 100.10.
