Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 9.19% or 2.20 points to trade at 26.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.86% or 0.192 points to end at 5.162 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.51% or 0.104 points to 6.986 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 2.96% or 0.85 points to trade at 27.83 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 2.05% or 0.345 points to end at 16.500 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 1.64% or 0.160 points to 9.580.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 83 to 60 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.82% or 0.59 to $72.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.34% or 0.23 to hit $67.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1226.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1659, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.74.
