Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.28%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 5.43% or 0.43 points to trade at 8.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.91% or 0.85 points to end at 18.15 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 4.35% or 0.15 points to 3.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 5.20% or 2.08 points to trade at 37.90 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 2.86% or 1.55 points to end at 52.70 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 2.11% or 0.25 points to 11.61.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 76 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.32% or 0.26 to $81.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.75% or 0.58 to hit $78.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.34% or 56.55 to trade at $2,359.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.38% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 104.00.
