Renault shares slump 16% after profit warning and weak H1 update
Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 15.34% or 1.30 points to trade at 9.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.57% or 0.51 points to end at 11.57 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.42% or 0.33 points to 23.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which fell 3.45% or 0.20 points to trade at 5.48 at the close. Kalmar Oyj (HE:KALMAR) declined 3.31% or 1.14 points to end at 33.30 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 2.52% or 1.65 points to 63.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 83 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 2.18% or 1.67 to $78.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 2.16% or 1.59 to hit $75.09 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 22.13 to trade at $3,385.97 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.15, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 98.64.
