Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.05% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 1.92% or 1.25 points to trade at 66.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 0.90% or 0.14 points to end at 15.22 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was up 0.72% or 0.14 points to 19.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 1.91% or 0.66 points to trade at 33.92 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 1.40% or 0.13 points to end at 8.86 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) was down 1.25% or 0.07 points to 5.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 97 to 75 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.69% or 0.45 to $65.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.87% or 0.54 to hit $62.51 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.49% or 47.36 to trade at $3,234.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.64% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 100.27.
