Experian to acquire Compuscan, extending their bureau presence in Africa

  • Experian (OTCQX:EXPGF) announced that it has agreed to acquire Compuscan (CSH Group (Pty) Limited), provider of credit information and decision analytics in South Africa, with operations across seven key geographies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • For a purchase price of R3,720M (US $263M) in cash, payable on completion. The transaction is expected to be funded from existing cash resources.
  • For FY18, Compuscan is expected to generate R489M (US$35M) in revenue, growing to R532M (US$38M) in FY19.
  • The transaction is expected to be accretive to Benchmark EPS in its first full year of ownership. And is expected to complete during the first quarter of financial year ending 31 March 2020.
