Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 1.35%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 1.35%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA), which rose 1.63% or 10.2 points to trade at 635.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Simcorp A/S (CSE:SIM) added 1.47% or 12.0 points to end at 829.0 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was up 0.90% or 110 points to 12400 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN), which fell 2.92% or 5.5 points to trade at 183.0 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) declined 2.82% or 35.0 points to end at 1207.0 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was down 2.92% or 5.9 points to 196.1.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 54 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $45.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.17% or 0.08 to hit $48.33 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 9.15 to trade at $1839.35 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.41% to 6.1183, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4439.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 90.558.
