Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.80%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.16% or 460 points to trade at 11520 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 3.76% or 400 points to end at 11050 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 3.09% or 7.2 points to 240.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nets A/S (CO:NETS), which fell 1.76% or 2.10 points to trade at 117.50 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) declined 1.17% or 3.3 points to end at 279.3 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 0.17% or 0.7 points to 424.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 46 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.36% or 0.71 to $53.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.89% or 0.49 to hit $55.61 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.38% or 4.75 to trade at $1234.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.33% to 6.9721, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4341.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 100.56.
