Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.05% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 3.67% or 9.4 points to trade at 265.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) added 1.48% or 10.0 points to end at 683.5 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was up 1.13% or 4.0 points to 357.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG), which fell 1.80% or 4.90 points to trade at 268.00 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) declined 1.49% or 4.5 points to end at 297.7 and Nets A/S (CO:NETS) was down 0.64% or 0.80 points to 124.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 75 to 46 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) rose to all time highs; up 1.48% or 10.0 to 683.5. Shares in Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.13% or 4.0 to 357.3.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.75% or 0.87 to $48.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.74% or 0.91 to hit $51.50 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.56 to trade at $1266.76 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.27% to 6.8424, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4387.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.04.
