Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.01% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which rose 4.79% or 13.8 points to trade at 302.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.80% or 50.0 points to end at 1367.0 and Nets A/S (CO:NETS) was up 3.22% or 3.90 points to 125.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSV (CO:DSV), which fell 1.10% or 4.2 points to trade at 377.0 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 0.46% or 0.7 points to end at 152.9 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 0.08% or 0.2 points to 242.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 77 to 40 and 22 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.36% or 0.18 to $49.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $52.49 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.80 to trade at $1265.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.49% to 6.8443, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4400.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 99.13.
