Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.33%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which rose 2.94% or 11.2 points to trade at 391.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 1.70% or 10.5 points to end at 627.0 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was up 1.64% or 0.63 points to 38.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which fell 0.77% or 100 points to trade at 12900 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 0.76% or 3.0 points to end at 390.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was down 0.45% or 1.2 points to 267.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 60 to 51 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.70% or 10.5 to 627.0.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.69% or 0.81 to $48.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.43% or 0.72 to hit $50.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.31% or 3.94 to trade at $1248.16 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.13% to 6.3940, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4361.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.03.
