Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal & Household Goods and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.26% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which rose 2.79% or 19.0 points to trade at 701.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Nets A/S (CO:NETS) added 2.67% or 3.30 points to end at 127.00 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was up 2.30% or 4.1 points to 182.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which fell 0.81% or 4.5 points to trade at 552.0 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) declined 0.72% or 80 points to end at 10970 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was down 0.57% or 1.6 points to 281.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 72 to 42 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.79% or 19.0 to 701.0. Shares in GN Store Nord (CO:GN) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.30% or 4.1 to 182.1.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 3.99% or 1.91 to $45.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.74% or 1.90 to hit $48.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.30% or 16.26 to trade at $1232.24 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.79% to 6.7775, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4367.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 98.67.
