Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.26% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which rose 1.89% or 4.5 points to trade at 242.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 1.63% or 6.1 points to end at 381.4 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 0.83% or 100 points to 12200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which fell 2.22% or 19.0 points to trade at 837.0 at the close. DSV (CO:DSV) declined 0.65% or 2.3 points to end at 350.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was down 0.52% or 1.5 points to 288.7.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 69 to 43 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.89% or 4.5 to 242.5. Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.63% or 6.1 to 381.4. Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 0.83% or 100 to 12200.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.18% or 0.10 to hit $55.87 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.59% or 7.25 to trade at $1232.65 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 7.0178, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4343.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.12.
