Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which rose 3.19% or 7.7 points to trade at 249.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 2.75% or 9.2 points to end at 343.7 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 1.66% or 190 points to 11620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CO:GEN), which fell 1.02% or 13.0 points to trade at 1262.0 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) declined 0.74% or 3.5 points to end at 471.0 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was down 0.67% or 0.25 points to 37.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 43 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.23% or 0.12 to $51.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.30% or 0.16 to hit $54.08 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.16% or 14.10 to trade at $1198.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.14% to 7.0050, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4368.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 101.55.
