Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED), which rose 2.79% or 13.50 points to trade at 497.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) added 0.91% or 2.7 points to end at 300.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CO:NOVOb) was up 0.77% or 2.5 points to 327.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which fell 3.45% or 11.0 points to trade at 308.1 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 3.28% or 290 points to end at 8546 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 2.87% or 7.3 points to 247.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 82 to 49 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED) rose to all time highs; rising 2.79% or 13.50 to 497.50.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.73% or 0.41 to $56.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.39% or 0.26 to hit $66.25 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 1.85 to trade at $1285.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.90% to 6.6581, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4597.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.72% at 97.495.
