Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.23% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE), which rose 2.98% or 7.0 points to trade at 241.8 at the close. Meanwhile, TDC A/S (CO:TDC) added 2.55% or 0.91 points to end at 36.54 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was up 2.34% or 3.9 points to 170.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 0.12% or 0.3 points to trade at 250.0 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 0.50% or 3.5 points to end at 705.5 and Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) was up 0.67% or 1.80 points to 268.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 101 to 28 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in GN Store Nord (CO:GN) rose to 5-year highs; up 2.34% or 3.9 to 170.3.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.79% or 0.39 to $49.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.57% or 0.30 to hit $52.14 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.01% or 13.04 to trade at $1276.06 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.10% to 6.8549, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 99.03.
