Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.91% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH), which rose 3.51% or 5.1 points to trade at 150.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Genmab (CO:GEN) added 3.06% or 38.0 points to end at 1278.0 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.78% or 4.4 points to 251.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which fell 1.27% or 3.6 points to trade at 280.8 at the close. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) declined 0.81% or 6.0 points to end at 735.5 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was down 0.34% or 1.2 points to 351.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 39 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.51% or 5.1 to 150.4.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.19% or 0.62 to $52.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.94% or 0.52 to hit $55.76 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 0.95 to trade at $1256.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.11% to 7.0147, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4366.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.91.
