Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 2.09% or 75.0 points to trade at 3660.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) added 0.74% or 180.0 points to end at 24500.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.32% or 80.0 points to 25120.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cemargos (CN:CCB), which fell 2.04% or 240.0 points to trade at 11500.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.54% or 160.0 points to end at 10240.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) was down 1.26% or 140.0 points to 10960.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 23 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.09% or 75.0 to 3660.0.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 1.05% or 1.50 to $144.18 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 1.59% or 36.50 to hit $2328.00 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.15 to trade at $1147.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.75% to 2964.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.78% to 879.39.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.82% at 101.91.
