U.S. consumer prices rise by 2.7% in June
Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p), which rose 1.22% or 7.00 points to trade at 580.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) added 0.50% or 160.00 points to end at 32,360.00 and Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) was up 0.37% or 80.00 points to 21,660.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ecopetrol SA (BVC:ECO), which fell 2.02% or 40.00 points to trade at 1,945.00 at the close. Banco Davivienda Pf (BVC:DVI_p) declined 1.87% or 420.00 points to end at 22,080.00 and Cementos Argos SA (BVC:CCB) was down 1.51% or 160.00 points to 10,440.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
US coffee C for September delivery was down 2.60% or 8.85 to $331.40 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 0.95% or 95.00 to hit $9,940.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 10.80 to trade at $3,406.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.04% to 4,100.83, while BRL/COP rose 0.04% to 745.48.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.87% at 98.41.
