Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which rose 2.27% or 560.0 points to trade at 25180.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.90% or 220.0 points to end at 11780.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 1.76% or 140.0 points to 8110.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which fell 2.26% or 50.0 points to trade at 2165.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) declined 1.64% or 0.3 points to end at 18.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was down 1.11% or 120.0 points to 10680.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 21 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 2.17% or 2.61 to $123.08 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.62% or 18.00 to hit $2912.00 , while the June Gold contract rose 1.14% or 14.20 to trade at $1258.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.28% to 3054.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.23% to 872.60.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 93.99.
