Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (CN:GAA_p), which rose 1.75% or 20.0 points to trade at 1165.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 1.69% or 420.0 points to end at 25340.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) was up 1.41% or 260.0 points to 18660.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which fell 1.27% or 110.0 points to trade at 8540.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 1.20% or 360.0 points to end at 29640.0 and Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) was down 0.74% or 80.0 points to 10720.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 19 to 8 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was up 1.05% or 1.54 to $148.27 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 3.64% or 72.00 to hit $2051.50 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 8.75 to trade at $1241.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.05% to 2876.38, while BRL/COP fell 0.90% to 931.23.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 100.42.
