Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1), which rose 2.08% or 580.0 points to trade at 28460.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.78% or 20.0 points to end at 1145.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 1.17% or 300.0 points to 25880.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which fell 2.18% or 180.0 points to trade at 8080.0 at the close. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.01% or 240.0 points to end at 23560.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) was down 0.68% or 80.0 points to 11600.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 15 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for May delivery was down 2.02% or 2.92 to $141.60 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.51% or 11.00 to hit $2168.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1247.85 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.23% to 2919.85, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 943.59.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 99.45.
