Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.28%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.28% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.19% or 35.0 points to trade at 2985.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemargos (CN:CCB) added 1.09% or 120.0 points to end at 11080.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.03% or 20.0 points to 1960.0 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Etb (CN:ETB), which fell 3.97% or 19.0 points to trade at 460.0 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 0.14% or 40.0 points to end at 29040.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was down 0.13% or 40.0 points to 29600.0.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 14 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged.

Shares in Etb (CN:ETB) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.97% or 19.0 to 460.0. Shares in Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.03% or 20.0 to 1960.0.

US coffee C for March delivery was down 0.11% or 0.14 to $121.78 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 1.09% or 21.00 to hit $1901.50 , while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1265.10 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.02% to 2971.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.10% to 903.15.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 93.03.
