According to the SEC Form 4 filing, Chewy (NYSE:CHWY) director James Star, bought a total of 181,478 (13,500 and 167,978) of the company's shares on June 13 in multiple transactions at a weighted average price of $26.9167 and $27.4836.
The value of the transaction was around $5 million. Star purchased a separate $5 million worth of shares on June 8.
Following the purchase, Star owns 483,996 shares indirectly and 112,573 shares directly.
Star is the Executive Chairman of Longview Asset Management LLC, a multi-strategy investment firm.
Shares of Chewy are down over 50% year-to-date.
