Nvidia becomes first company to reach $4 trillion market cap amid AI boom
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Consumption and Real Estate sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 1.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Tim Participacoes SA (BVMF:TIMS3), which rose 1.51% or 0.32 points to trade at 21.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Telefonica Brasil SA (BVMF:VIVT3) added 1.47% or 0.44 points to end at 30.28 and Petroreconcavo SA (BVMF:RECV3) was up 1.35% or 0.21 points to 15.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cosan SA Industria e Comercio (BVMF:CSAN3), which fell 9.00% or 0.72 points to trade at 7.28 at the close. Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) declined 7.44% or 0.36 points to end at 4.48 and Pet Center Comercio e Partcipacoes (BVMF:PETZ3) was down 5.41% or 0.23 points to 4.02.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 535 to 386 and 53 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 3.00% to 26.19.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.72% or 24.38 to $3,383.72 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.69% or 0.51 to hit $74.01 a barrel, while the September US coffee C contract fell 2.31% or 7.45 to trade at $314.85 .
USD/BRL was up 0.48% to 5.52, while EUR/BRL rose 0.67% to 6.36.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 98.39.
