Bitcoin price today: hits new record high near $120k ahead of ’crypto week’
Investing.com – Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Public Utilities, Financials and Electric Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa declined 0.30% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Gerdau SA Pref (BVMF:GGBR4), which rose 6.41% or 1.07 points to trade at 17.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Metalurgica Gerdau SA (BVMF:GOAU4) added 5.21% or 0.48 points to end at 9.70 and Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3) was up 4.63% or 2.99 points to 67.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were B3 SA Brasil Bolsa Balcao (BVMF:B3SA3), which fell 3.02% or 0.41 points to trade at 13.16 at the close. Raia Drogasil SA (BVMF:RADL3) declined 2.90% or 0.44 points to end at 14.71 and SLC Agricola SA (BVMF:SLCE3) was down 2.70% or 0.51 points to 18.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 563 to 368 and 63 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 0.48% to 27.43.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.01% or 0.40 to $3,347.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.24% or 0.80 to hit $65.38 a barrel, while the July US coffee C contract rose 1.06% or 3.80 to trade at $361.85 .
USD/BRL was unchanged 0.02% to 5.56, while EUR/BRL rose 0.23% to 6.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 98.97.
