Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Electric Power sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3), which rose 15.51% or 8.91 points to trade at 66.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Banco Santander Brasil SA Unit (BVMF:SANB11) added 6.20% or 1.58 points to end at 27.08 and Auren Energia SA (BVMF:AURE3) was up 2.96% or 0.24 points to 8.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4), which fell 8.87% or 0.37 points to trade at 3.80 at the close. Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4) declined 7.65% or 0.14 points to end at 1.69 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) was down 5.82% or 0.27 points to 4.37.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 499 to 445 and 61 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 2.72% to 28.73.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.21% or 6.07 to $2,881.87 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.08% or 1.51 to hit $71.19 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract rose 4.34% or 16.65 to trade at $400.00 .
USD/BRL was up 0.87% to 5.80, while EUR/BRL rose 0.96% to 6.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 107.47.
