By Sam Boughedda

The Federal Aviation Administration revealed on Monday that Boeing (NYSE:BA) will restart deliveries of its 787 Dreamliners in the coming days.

The regulator said in a statement that they are satisfied with the changes made by Boeing in the production of the 787 Dreamliner passenger jets, confirming recent speculation.

The FAA halted deliveries of the wide-body jetliners in May 2021 on production flaws and concerns over the jet maker's inspection methods. Several problems impacted the jets' production, including the use of unapproved titanium parts from an Italian supplier.

The resumption of deliveries has been much anticipated by Boeing and its customers, such as American Airlines (NASDAQ:AAL) and United Airlines, with the planes used for long-haul international flights.

"Boeing has made the necessary changes to ensure that the 787 Dreamliner meets all certification standards," stated FAA. They added they "will inspect each aircraft before an airworthiness certificate is issued and cleared for delivery."

Boeing shares are up 1.15% at the time of writing.
