Investing.com – Belgium stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.00%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Ageas (BR:AGES), which rose 1.45% or 0.520 points to trade at 36.355 at the close. Meanwhile, Proximus NV (BR:PROX) added 1.02% or 0.29 points to end at 29.32 and Aperam (AS:APAM) was up 1.01% or 0.47 points to 46.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which fell 1.55% or 1.60 points to trade at 101.30 at the close. Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) declined 0.61% or 0.510 points to end at 83.690 and Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) was down 0.53% or 0.60 points to 112.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 59 to 49 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.23% or 2.90 to $1280.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $50.87 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.32% or 0.17 to trade at $53.10 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.0750, while EUR/GBP rose 0.02% to 0.8382.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.54.
