Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB), which rose 27.09% or 34.00 points to trade at 159.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Melexis NV (EBR:MLXS) added 2.71% or 1.55 points to end at 58.65 and Syensqo SA (EBR:SYENS) was up 1.57% or 1.20 points to 77.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lotus Bakeries (EBR:LOTB), which fell 2.59% or 280.00 points to trade at 10,540.00 at the close. Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) declined 1.63% or 0.53 points to end at 32.05 and Ageas (EBR:AGES) was down 1.18% or 0.56 points to 46.84.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 50 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.16% or 31.24 to $2,717.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.85% or 0.58 to hit $68.95 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.67% or 0.48 to trade at $72.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.42% to 0.82.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 106.19.
