Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 added 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were Groep Brussel Lambert NV (EBR:GBLB), which rose 3.17% or 2.15 points to trade at 69.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) added 1.99% or 9.70 points to end at 496.00 and UCB SA (EBR:UCB) was up 1.78% or 2.70 points to 154.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which fell 2.16% or 0.66 points to trade at 29.96 at the close. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) declined 1.40% or 0.95 points to end at 66.90 and D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB) was down 0.66% or 1.20 points to 179.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 55 to 29 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.37% or 45.40 to $3,351.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.17% or 0.70 to hit $60.61 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.71 to trade at $63.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.13, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 100.10.
