Investing.com – Belgium stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BEL 20 were KBC Groep NV (EBR:KBC), which rose 1.98% or 1.44 points to trade at 74.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Sofina (EBR:SOF) added 0.99% or 2.40 points to end at 245.20 and Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) was up 0.57% or 0.30 points to 52.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elia (EBR:ELI), which fell 4.59% or 2.95 points to trade at 61.35 at the close. Lotus Bakeries (EBR:LOTB) declined 3.04% or 320.00 points to end at 10,220.00 and Azelis Corporate Services NV (EBR:AZE) was down 1.74% or 0.34 points to 19.19.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Brussels Stock Exchange by 54 to 38 and 17 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.41% or 11.24 to $2,759.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.97% or 0.73 to hit $74.71 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.89% or 0.70 to trade at $78.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 107.93.
