Investing.com - Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) reported second quarter earnings that missed forecasts but revenue that topped expectations.
Activision Blizzard announced earnings per share of $0.48 on revenue of $1.64B. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $0.4808 on revenue of $1.57B.
Activision Blizzard shares are up 20% from the beginning of the year, still down 7.85% from its 52 week high of $86.90 set on January 18. They are outperforming the Nasdaq which is down 20.94% from the start of the year.
Activision Blizzard shares gained 0.84% in after-hours trade following the report.
Activision Blizzard's report follows an earnings missed by Alphabet C on July 26, who reported EPS of $1.21 on revenue of $69.69B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.27 on revenue of $69.8B.
Meta Platforms had missed expectations on Wednesday with second quarter EPS of $2.46 on revenue of $28.82B, compared to forecast for EPS of $2.54 on revenue of $28.91B.
