(Reuters) - Donald Trump said he will make a statement at 2030 ET on Friday (0130GMT) after the U.S. Justice Department named a special counsel to oversee its investigations into the former president's handling of sensitive documents and efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

I thought stealing us national secrets, ra…ping women, cheating taxes was a crime in US but I guess not…since trump is not in jail.

lakes Tenn to be found guilty depends on the trial ever taking place. And if you are rich enough us laywers can keep you away from any trial regardsless of crime. OJ simpson was stopped by the police fleeing in his car with a ******axe in his car after his wife and lover was killed by an axe but he was freed because US justice is none existing like stealing national secrets to sell to foreign powers no longer a problem as long as you have good lawyers also to deliberatly try to overtrow US democracy no problem im US. Lying to everybody about your fortune to excape tax payment no problem im US
