(The Sports Xchange) - New York Knicks center Joakim Noah will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery and miss the remainder of the season, according to multiple reports Monday.

Noah, 32, will undergo the procedure on his left knee Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reported. The surgery is expected to be a "clean up" of the left knee, league sources told Wojnarowski.

Noah is in the first year of a four-year, $72 million free agent contract he signed in July after playing nine seasons with the Chicago Bulls, who drafted him ninth overall in 2007.

The 6-foot-11, 230-pound Noah has missed the last seven games while dealing with a lingering hamstring injury. He hasn't played since a Feb. 4 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers, when he had four points and two rebounds in just six minutes.

Noah underwent arthroscopic surgery on the same knee in May 2014, but Monday's procedure is due to a new injury, according to ESPN.

Noah is averaging 5.0 points and 8.8 rebounds in 46 games this season. For his career, he owns averages of 9.0 points and 9.4 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Knicks announced Monday the signing of free agent guard Chasson Randle to a contract. The team also waived guard Brandon Jennings.

The 6-2, 185-pound Randle, 24, appeared in eight games for the Philadelphia 76ers this season, averaging 5.3 points over 9.3 minutes, before being waived on Feb. 23.

Jennings, 27, signed a one-year, $5 million contract with the Knicks during the offseason to back up Derrick Rose. The 6-1, 170-pound Jennings averaged 8.6 points, 4.9 assists and 24.6 minutes in 58 games.

"Thank you to all the Knicks fans for the love all year long, and thanks to my teammates and the organization," Jennings tweeted.
