Investing.com - The pound continued its climb against the dollar on Thursday amid a report that U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson had moved out of intensitive care.

GBP/USD rose 0.72% to 1.24754.

"The prime minister has been moved this evening from intensive care back to the ward, where he will receive close monitoring during the early phase of his recovery," Sky News reported, citing a Number 10 spokesman.
