WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Thursday she was pleased the Senate was moving toward suspending the debt limit but she added that having a debt ceiling has become increasingly damaging to the United States.

"It's led to a series of politically dangerous conflicts that have caused Americans and global markets to question whether or not America is serious about paying its bills," she told CNN in an interview.

she looks like an evil character from Star wars
Oh, sure. Let’s completely dispense with fiscal integrity. Heck, even the term “budget” seems downright unamerican. Let’s print as much as we want! Spend as much as we want! Forgive everyone’s debt! It’s Sanders/Ocasio-Cortez wet dream! Free EVERYTHING for EVERYONE!!
Wait..I got this, let me as a middle class single guy pay for this s#
maybe you should run for office if you have all the answers
also if you think the money comes out of thin air you are very much mistaken and look into how money is actually created. just by congress lifting the debt ceiling doesn't necessarily mean investors will loan money to the US gov.
Having a household budget has become increasingly damaging to American people... Fed should start printing as much as possible to every American household 🤔😀
LMAO. It's funny cause it's true. Can we go back to the salt standard please?
Actually, if one reads Admemdment 14 Section 4 of the US Constitution, the debt ceiling is unconstitutional. Once a debt as part of a US Budget is passes and signed by the President, it is "good". I do not like it. But then again, Sections 2 to 5 of the 14th centralized most everything to the Federal Government; a redo of our national when ratified.
She is a dangerous socialist trying to ***America.
yellen looks more and more like George Washington and not in a good way 🦳
Just pay the debt you liar
Opposite is true …. What is dangerous is debt pur on the poor to fund the wealthy stock market and housing market
