Trump says Fed has lowered rates too slowly

DAVOS, Switzerland (Reuters) - Thousands of miles from his impeachment trial in the United States, President Donald Trump took centre stage at Davos on Tuesday to tout the success of the country's economy.

Trump, who is attending his second meeting of global political and business leaders at the World Economic Forum, told a packed auditorium that the U.S. Federal Resserve had lowered interest rates too slowly.

His address picked up on some of the themes Trump voiced when he first addressed the WEF two years ago.

Donald Trump is loyal to his constituency not to globalist bankers. The fed knows what they are dealing with and hopes to continue in their current role and making friends with Trump is their best bet.
Powell is a dud.
Trump is busy rap'ing the financial foundation of the USA -- Any milli percent lower and he lowers his biz empire's costs. All for what? A billionaire's extra feeling of achievement? At the cost of future generations? --- The 10th paragraph of the following article merits awareness: Here’s Why the New York Fed Doesn’t Want You to See a Photo of Its Wall Street-Esque Trading Floor --- https://wallstreetonparade.com/2020/01/heres-why-the-new-york-fed-doesnt-want-you-to-see-a-photo-of-its-wall-street-esque-trading-floor/
I wouldn't worry as much about the reverse repo's as the current repo driven expansion of the Feds balance sheet. They are rewarding the big banks that are getting record profits but saying they can't make money in a low interest environment yet keep one upping each other buying tens of billions of their own stocks back to make "the numbers" look better and trying to keep their stock prices up and the ceo's payouts huge. They are draining all the money of the economy to satisfy a few super wealthy which won't ever pay taxes and heaping debt onto the public
Can they go lower ?
I believe they can go to zero and bynd
