As a New Jersey resident, I'm tired of my federal income taxes propping up, primarily red states who allow big monied corporations to pay little state and local states. Why should NJ and other giver states continue to pay for our public services, and, Kentucky, SC, NC, TN, FL, GA, ID, MS, AL, LA, and Texas's public services. Without federal welfare, predominantly red states would have to fire police, fire fighters, teachers, and other essential state and local workers.  New Jersey was targeted by the GOP with the SALT deduction, so our ind. and small biz would pay for 2017 fat tax cuts for the top 1% and highly profitable corporations. Our individual and small businesses support GOP states and we're sick of supporting red states artificially low states. NJ residents make up the reduced federal tax grants with higher local, state, and other taxes. How about NJ stop sending our federal income taxes to the federal budget. Let red states biz & residents pay for their public services.

Totally agree. I think it’s high time New England, NY and NJ seriously think about secession from the union. This political divide is too much and our Federal taxes keep paying for the red states that do nothing but bash us.

Totally agree with you, Liz. California also subsidizes the Red States, which do relatively little to generate taxes with their small economies.

Al Vlaj secession is not necessary, the states need to fight to regain thier 10th amendment rights, which would begin as the repeal of the 16th. Totally with you and the OP on this.
