TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's government nominated academic and former Bank of Japan (BOJ) board member Kazuo Ueda to become the next central bank governor, a document submitted to parliament showed on Tuesday.

If confirmed, Ueda would succeed Haruhiko Kuroda, whose term ends on April 8, the document showed.

Former Financial Services Agency chief Ryozo Himino and career central banker and BOJ executive Shinichi Uchida were named as the two deputy governors, replacing incumbent Masayoshi Amamiya and Masazumi Wakatabe. Their terms start on March 20.

The government's nomination needs the approval of both houses of parliament, making it effectively a done deal since the ruling coalition holds solid majorities in both chambers.
